Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 – Extension of Closing Date

Online applications for the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 are currently being received by the Commission with effect from 17-08-2018. The Commission has hosted this application on its new website, and that during the initial few days, there were some teething problems, wherein it was observed that the new website of the Commission was running slow, consequent to which some candidates reported inconvenience in submitting their online application forms. Therefore, keeping in view the
difficulties faced by some candidates, the Competent Authority, has, in the overall interest of the candidates, decided to extend the closing date for filling up of online application forms for the said examination from
17-09-2018 to 30-09-2018 (5.00 PM).

As regards payments made through challan for the said examination, it is informed that in those cases where the challans have been generated by the aspiring candidates up to 5.00 P.M. on 30.09.2018, they can make the payment to the designated Branches of SBI using the said challan, within the working hours of the Bank up to
03.10.2018.

It may be specifically noted by the candidates that no further extension of time will be given beyond 30.09.2018 (5.00 P.M.) for submission of online application forms for the said Examination.

The other terms and conditions of the Examination Notice uploaded on the website of the Commission on 25.07.2018 will remain unchanged.

Important Notice for Candidates of Constable (GD) Examination, 2018
Applicants of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 may please note that the process of submitting applications for the said recruitment examination consists of
the following two parts:
(i) One-Time Registration
(ii) Filling of online Application Form

The Commission had provided both these facilities on its new website w.e.f. 25.07.2018, but because of a very heavy load of applications, the new website of the Commission had become very slow, for which reason, it was temporarily withdrawn by the Commission.
However, while withdrawing these facilities, the Commission had informed all candidates that both the facilities i.e. One-Time Registration and filling of online Application Forms would be resumed on the Commission’s website w.e.f. 17.08.2018 at 10 AM and the last date for receipt of applications would be 17.09.2018 at 5 PM. This position is maintained by the Commission.

In the meantime, the Commission has for the convenience of the candidates resumed the facility of One-Time Registration, on its website i.e. www.ssc.nic.in w.e.f. 14.08.2018, wherein candidates can start registering themselves as per procedure given vide Notice dated 22.07.2018. However, as indicated above, the facility for submission of online applications would only re-commence from 17.08.2018 at 10 AM. Any applicant, who wishes to apply for the said examination may register themselves on the website of the Commission w.e.f. 14.08.2018
and submit online application after 17.08.2018. It is reiterated that last date for submission of online applications would be 17.09.2018 (5 PM).

As the new website of the Commission may take some time to stabilize, for initial few days, to minimise the inconvenience to candidates, applicants are advised to also utilize off-time or non-peak hours of 10 PM to 8 AM for making One-Time Registration and filling of online Application Forms.

To mitigate the inconvenience caused to candidates, it has been decided to temporarily withhold receiving online applications for the said examination w.e.f. 28-07-2018 (8 PM) for a period of 20 days. During this period of temporary suspension i.e. w.e.f. 28-07-2018 up to 16-08-2018, the Commission would be augmenting the capability of the online system commensurate with the load which is likely to increase during ensuing days.

The candidates who have already registered on the new website are assured that their data is secure with the Commission and that they will not be required to register again.

It may be noted that receipt of online applications would commence w.e.f. 17-08-2018 at 10 AM. Accordingly, the last date for submission of online applications for the said examination would be extended up to 17-09-2018 (5 PM). Payment through Challans of SBI can be made at the designated branches of SBI within the Banking hours up to 20-09-2018, provided the challans have been generated before the closing date and time for receipt of applications. Other terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

Pay scale: Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

Eligibility: Candidate must be citizen of India and as the vacancies are state/UT wise, they must submit domicle/PRC against his her state/UT.

Age: The candidate must be between 18-23 years of age as on August 1, 2018. There is relaxation of age for SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen and some other category candidates.

Educational qualification as on August 1, 2018: Matriculation or Class 10 pass from recognised university or board.

I. The Commission has declared results of the following examinations during the month of June 2018:

The Commission proposes to declare the result of Junior Engineer  (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract)  (Paper-II) Examination-2017 tentatively on 22.6.2018.

3. The Commission also proposes to complete declaration of result of Selection Post Phase-V Examinations for all three levels i.e. Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2) and Graduation levels by 23.07.2018.

3. As already announced, the Commission will be conducting Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-III) 2017 on 08.07.2018.

4. The Skill Test for Stenographers Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2017 will be held from 20.08.2018 to 19.09.2018. The detailed programme for the aforesaid Skill Test will be announced by the concerned Regional / Sub-regional Offices of the Commission separately.

5. The Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination (Tier-II) 2017 will be conducted on 15.7.2018.

6. The Notice for the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2018 will be published on the website of the Commission on 21.07.2018.

7. The Commission has decided to conduct the Selection Posts Phase-VI Examinations i.e. for requisitions for recruitment received from the User Ministries/Departments between 01.07.2017 to 31.10.2017 for all three levels, i.e. Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2) and
Graduation levels between 27.10.2018 and 30.10.2018.
